Adding two small industrial pipe shelves to the plank wall in our office is a project that’s been on my to-do list for a few months (you can see the original design plan HERE). Considering how easy they were to make, I don’t know why I waited so long!
They don’t really serve a purpose other than to bring some more character into the space. I just love having another spot to display pretty accessories.I won’t go into a detailed tutorial on how to make the shelves because there are already a ton of them floating around the internet. Instead, I’ll just share some pretty pictures of how mine turned out The coffee sack bulletin boards were a DIY project that you can read about HERE. I loved shopping around the house, looking for fun things to display on the shelves. Vintage books, framed photos, other random vintage treasures are some of my favorite items to style shelves and vignettes. You can also read about the custom butcher block desk HERE and the file cabinet makeovers HERE.
To finish the office makeover, I still need to:
– buy desk chairs
– get a lamp for the desk
– hang plantation shutters on the windows
– replace ceiling light fixture
– buy or build some kind of bookshelves for books and craft supply storage
I’ll be sure to keep you updated as things progress!
